About Our Home Inspection Company
First Choice Home Services LLC. was founded in 1996 originally as First Choice Home Inspections by myself,Bruce and my wife, Valerie after having a home inspection on our own home. The inspector for our home did his job within the standards used at the time and was very helpful in our decision to buy the home. However, having been in the construction industry helping to build homes in Georgia and wiring homes in St. Petersburg and the Tampa Bay area since I got out of high school. I felt there was room for improvement. The first couple of years after starting the inspection company I stayed in the electrical business until I felt we could manage without additional income. We have been a full time inspection company ever since.
Valerie who runs the office and sets appointments and myself as the inspector will treat you professionally and courteously. We feel our personal service goes beyond many of our competitors. I am licensed by The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation # HI931, I'm a certified inspector by ( NACHI) National Association of Certified Inspectors #07120801, and a Hillsborough County licensed electrician #JE00272. I also have certification to perform wind mitigation inspections from The University of Florida and NACHI. I am a (IAC2) International Association of Certified Indoor Air Consultants mold inspector and can provide indoor and outdoor air sampling to determine if your home has a mold problem.
I have been trained and certified to inspect many components of the home or commercial building and understand the science of a building.
